Help
I cannot sign in or verify my email. What should I do?
Use the email address entered at signup. For a forgotten password, request a reset link. For email verification, check your inbox and spam folder, then open Verify email and choose Resend code. Verification codes and reset links are different from a guardian approval link.
Why is a learner account waiting for approval?
For a learner recorded as under 18 at signup, the account stays inactive until a parent or legal guardian approves it from the email link. That link is single-use and expires after 24 hours. Email verification is a separate step. If the approval link expired or did not arrive, use the resend page and enter the learner email; a new link is sent to the guardian email on file. The date of birth is entered by the user, and the service does not independently verify it or the adult’s relationship to the learner.
Who can see my profile and posts?
Profile discovery and post audiences are separate controls: changing one does not automatically change the other. Review the privacy settings in MathNative before posting, especially if you are sharing learning work that includes another person’s name or details. The Privacy Notice explains that eligible discoverable profiles may be opened by an administrator with access to the selected grade workspace; a private profile is not made discoverable through that access.
How do I get a copy of my information?
When signed in, use the data export option in your Profile. The automated file has record limits and may not include every item from a long-running account. If something you need is missing, email support and describe the record; do not send your password or sign-in codes.
How do I delete my account or request data-only deletion?
If you can sign in, open Profile, then Security, and use Delete account; you will be asked to enter your current password and confirm. If you cannot sign in, the deletion page lets you request full account deletion by email confirmation, or ask support to review a data-only deletion request while keeping the account. A full-deletion confirmation link expires after one hour. The page explains the processing and limited retention details.
I think a maths question or explanation is wrong. What should I do?
Treat MathNative content as educational support, not a replacement for teacher guidance or your school’s requirements. Check the step with your teacher or class material. If you contact support, include the question or lesson name, the step you think is incorrect, and why; leave out classmates’ names and other private details.
I have a concern about a post or another account. What can I do?
MathNative is exclusively for education: off-topic banter and sexual content, explicit or implied and regardless of age, are not allowed. On a post, open Post options (the three-dot menu), choose Report post, select the closest reason, and add concise context if useful. Report sexualised content promptly; do not reply to or redistribute it. You can also choose Block user from that menu. Reports are reviewed and are not automatic findings; automated safety checks may also flag content for priority review where enabled. No response-time guarantee is published.
If these steps do not resolve it, email support@philaniacademy.org with the account email, what you were trying to do, the steps that led to the problem, and roughly when it happened. Never include a password, one-time code, or approval link.
Participating safely
Community
MathNative is exclusively an educational service. These proposed rules apply to profiles, posts, replies, groups, learning work, uploads, and other interactions on MathNative. Off-topic social banter is not permitted; all contributions must directly support learning, teaching, or operation of the service. Sexual content and sexualised conduct are prohibited whether explicit or implied and regardless of whether a minor is involved. If adopted, these rules will form part of the Terms of Use; they are not effective while marked as a draft.
Use MathNative only for education
MathNative is exclusively an educational service. Posts, replies, profiles, groups, uploads, and messages must directly support learning, teaching, or the operation of the educational service. Do not use it for casual or off-topic banter, jokes, memes, flirting, entertainment, or unrelated social conversation. Non-educational content may be reported by users and may be flagged by automated safety systems for review where those systems are enabled.
No sexual content or sexualised conduct
Sexual content and sexualised conduct are prohibited in every form, explicit or implied, regardless of whether a minor is involved or whether the material is described as a joke, fictional, consensual, educational, or otherwise harmless. This includes sexual language or innuendo, propositions, role-play, suggestive images or links, and content that sexualises or targets any person. User reports and automated safety checks may flag suspected content for priority review; a flag is not itself a finding.
Respect people and protect learners
Do not bully, threaten, harass, stalk, discriminate against, groom, coerce, exploit, or deliberately target a learner or staff member. Sexual content is separately prohibited whether or not a minor is involved.
Protect privacy and account access
Do not publish another person’s home or school location, contact details, private messages, identity documents, account information, or identifying images without permission. Never request or share a password, verification code, or guardian approval link.
Keep academic work honest
Do not impersonate a learner, submit another person’s work as your own, falsify school or grade information, or bypass an assessment or collaboration rule set by an educator. Do not share non-public assessment material or answer keys unless the responsible educator has authorised it. Follow the educator’s instructions when collaboration is allowed.
Share material lawfully
Only upload or share material you created or are authorised to use. Do not use MathNative to distribute unlawful, infringing, deceptive, malicious, or unsafe material, or to send spam or scams.
Use authorised access and tools
Use only the account, class, group, and workspace access granted to you. Do not access another person’s account, evade a block or guardian-approval gate, bypass access controls, disrupt the service, or automate activity in a way that harms other users or MathNative.
How to report a post or block its author
On the post, open the three-dot Post options menu and choose Report post. Select the closest reason: spam or misleading, harassment or bullying, hate speech, inappropriate content, misinformation, or something else. The optional details box accepts up to 500 characters; describe what happened and avoid speculation. The report is submitted for review, but submitting it does not itself establish a violation or guarantee a particular outcome or response time.
Sexual content or sexualised conduct is prohibited whether explicit or implied, including where no minor is involved. Report it using Inappropriate content or Something else; do not engage with or redistribute it. Suspected sexual content and off-topic material may also be flagged by automated safety checks for review where those checks are enabled. A flag triggers assessment; it does not by itself establish a violation.
Make reports in good faith and include only relevant facts. A post may be temporarily hidden while it is assessed; that precaution is not a finding that a rule was broken.
To hide that author’s posts from your view, choose Block user in the same menu. Blocking is separate from reporting; use both if you want to report the post and hide the author’s posts.
Contact support about a safety concernIf someone may be in immediate danger, do not wait for an in-app report or email reply. Contact a trusted adult and the appropriate local emergency service.

Policies
These are the published policy pages, not promises that every request is automatic or every account detail is independently verified. The policy pages control if this summary is incomplete; contact support if an instruction does not match what you see in MathNative.
- Terms of UseProposed revision for legal review. The currently published version remains in force until a reviewed update is adopted.
- Privacy Notice and data rightsProposed revision for legal review. It identifies publication checks that must be completed before the notice is replaced.
- Account and data deletionStep-by-step choices for deleting an account or asking support to review a data-only deletion request.
Learner approval is a gate, not an age-verification service.
The age check uses the date of birth entered at signup. For an account recorded as belonging to someone under 18, the account stays inactive pending a parent or legal guardian’s single-use email approval. The service records the declaration but does not independently verify the date of birth or the adult’s relationship to the learner.
Privacy controls affect different parts of the service.
Profile discovery and post audiences are separate. Review the audience before sharing, and remember that administrators with access to a selected grade workspace may view profiles eligible for discovery there; private profiles are not made discoverable by that access.
Requests have different routes.
A signed-in user can download an account export from Profile, but some record types have export limits. Full account deletion requires confirmation from the account email; a data-only deletion request is sent to support for review. Use the linked deletion page for exact steps and retention details.
For a privacy question, access or correction request, or help with a data export, contact support@philaniacademy.org. Support may need to verify that you control the account before discussing its information.
